Discussion: We will begin discussing the different soil layers by taking fill-in-the-blank notes (#5) with the Soil Horizon PowerPoint presentation. Video Clip about the different soil horizons is found in the agenda link above. Powerpoint for today's discussion is found under last week's resources. 4. Homework: Part B (Title and Question) of the Science Fair packet should be completed by this Friday. Ms. Haynie is happy to look at Part B for students and provide feedback. Students will be spending this week in the Media Center working on learning how to research, create an outline from their research, how to cite sources, and how to write a hypothesis for Part C of their Science Fair project. This will be the only other class time that will be devoted to working on parts of the Science Fair. |

1. Science Fair Questions and Reminders 2. Biome Mini-Project Presentations: Students began presenting their Biome Ecological Tourism Mini-Project in class today. Students were working on giving at least 4 classmates feedback during their presentations. We will continue with the presentations on Wednesday. 3. Homework: Science Fair Boards are due by Thursday, December 1st. Please place them under the correct Science Period Sign. Tuesday, November 29th, 2016 (Substitute): 1. Classwork: "Biomes/Ecosystems Reading Packet" (#21). Students will put this packet in their notebook when finished. They should read, track their thinking and answer the comprehension questions in complete sentences following the directions. 2. Homework: Science Fair Boards are due by Thursday, December 1st. Please place them under the correct Science Period Sign. Biome Mini-Project presentations will resume tomorrow. Wednesday, November 30th, 2016: Thursday, December 1st, 2016: 1.
